Education is not merely reading, writing and passing examinations. It has yet another of non-scholastic aspect as well, such as development of values, moral character, habits, manners and behavioral patterns etc. A child being delicate and

immature, need proper monitoring and guidance from both the home and the school, Student's diary is one of such means as may ensure the child's progress if a proper report is built through it between the parents and the teachers, The parents are therefore required to refer to this diary every day. This would give them an idea as to how the child is progressing in studies and his/her conduct in the school. Remarks sent by the teacher (if any) must be acknowledge by the parents. If a child is being found irregular at studies or causing any problem, a note to this effect may be sent by the teacher on the pages of this diary. A timely meeting, discussion, correspondence or contact between the teachers and the parents may help children progress well and save them from many future psychological hazards.
